The Friends of the Lady Lake Library is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to providing support for the services and resources of the library.

Activities of the Friends of the Library include the running of the Book Sale Room, fund raising projects, helping with publicity activities, attending planning meetings and assisting the librarian and staff.

Some of the accomplishments of the Friends have included:  purchase of copy machines, computers, printers, special books, special equipment for the new library, and encyclopedias.  The Friends continually provide funds toward Children and Youth Programs at the Library and most of the Friends funds go toward these programs.

NEW LIBRARY PROJECT:   Friends of the Lady Lake Library raised more than $120,000 for the new library facility.  The new library opened on
May 19, 2011 and the Friends group continues to raise monies for the new facility.

If you are looking for a way to be more active in your community and have time that you would like to volunteer, the Friends of the Lady Lake Library would love to hear from you!  The Friends Meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the library.  All interested individuals are invited to attend.  We need your help and valuable ideas to improve services and allow the library to continue to grow.
